Refund & Cancellation Rules
Effective Date: April 13, 2026At Sarang Travels, we strive to be completely transparent about our financial policies. Because we book custom offline packages, your advance payments are immediately used to secure hotels, transport, and local services on your behalf.
1. Booking Requests (Zero Risk)
Submitting a booking request or receiving a custom itinerary quotation from our team is 100% free. If you decide not to proceed before making any payment, you can cancel your request from your "My Tours" dashboard without any penalty.
2. Cancellation of Confirmed Bookings
Once you have paid the Advance Amount via Razorpay or Bank Transfer, your trip is officially confirmed. If you choose to cancel after this point, the following standard deduction rules apply to the Total Amount Paid:
- 30+ Days before travel date: A flat administrative Cancellation Fee of ₹1,000 to ₹2,500 (depending on package size) will be deducted. The remaining balance will be refunded.
- 15 to 30 Days before travel date: 50% of the total paid amount is non-refundable.
- Less than 15 Days or No-Show: 100% of the total paid amount is non-refundable. No refunds will be issued.
3. Third-Party Vendor Policies
Please note that Sarang Travels acts as an intermediary. If a specific hotel, airline, or transport provider has a stricter "No Refund" policy (especially during peak holiday seasons), their policy will supersede our standard policy. We cannot refund amounts that third-party vendors refuse to return to us.
4. Processing Time & Method
When a cancellation is approved by our admin team:
- Refunds are automatically routed back to the original payment method used during the Razorpay transaction (Credit Card, UPI, Net Banking).
- If you paid via offline cash/bank transfer, the refund will be transferred to a bank account matching the primary traveler's name.
- Please allow 7 to 10 business days for the refunded amount to reflect in your bank account, depending on your bank's processing times.
5. Acts of God (Force Majeure)
If your trip must be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (such as extreme weather, natural calamities, government lockdowns, or strikes), standard refund rules do not apply. In such cases, we will issue a Credit Note for the recoverable amount, which can be used for future bookings with Sarang Travels within 1 year.
How to Request a Cancellation
Log in to your My Tours dashboard, locate your confirmed booking, and click the "Request Cancel" button. Our team will review the request, calculate the exact Refunded Amount and Cancellation Fee, and process it immediately.
